These past two weeks of school has really messed up my sleeping pattern. Because of finals, I can no longer sleep at the right time of the day. I’m so tired when it hits noon, and I can’t seem to fall asleep at night. Since I procrastinated with doing my final papers and studying for my exams, I am going to be up all night till Thursday. I’m trying to retain sooo much information to the point where EVERYTHING I’m reading is NOT making any sense anymore. =( Really though. I tell myself every year that I should not wait till the last minute to do my work, but yet I don’t listen to myself. Urgh, maybe the next time I feel like I can put an assignment off till the last minute I’ll read this blog and remind myself of why I should do things earlier.
On the brighter side, today at a meeting with one of my professors, we were talking about grad school and my future and he had nothing but motivational words to say. Talking to him really got me thinking about my future and what I want to do when I graduate. I can’t let intimidation stop me from living my dreams and succeeding. One thing he said was, “The key to success is 90% confidence, and 10% skill.” You have to believe in yourself and the goals you set in order for everything to fall through. I just have to have that mentality where I keep going and pushing through tough times, because in the end, it will all be worth it. These quotes never fail to help me to keep pushing forward:
- “If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it, I know I can achieve it.”
- “Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.”
- “We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.”
